If you have something to say, BLOG IT TO MY FACE!

The wonder of the interwebs is that anyone can produce content. And that means you, too. Why should we get all the fun?

  • If you’re an audience member who saw a show and have something to say about it, submit something and it might be posted on the blog!
  • If you’re an alumni with a fond memory of Cabaret or want to be put in the RU spotlight one more time, submit something and it might be posted on the blog!
  • If you’re a family member of a Cabbie and you’re concerned about his/her safety and mental well-being, submit something and it might be posted on the blog!

[Also, don't worry grandma, I won't be alone eating ketchup for much longer. I'm going to be a star!]

Be creative! Video, photos, emotionally moving anecdotes welcome!

E-mail submissions to cabtheatre@gmail.com for moderation.

**Submissions will be moderated solely for offensive or hateful content.
**Submissions will not be denied because the editor worked on the play and it was his baby and how dare you say bad things about it! If you catch my drift.

Theatre is a communal activity. So is writing. And we mean writing in the broad, 21st century definition of the term: video, photo, text, poetry, prose, comics, memes, music, etc, etc, etc.

We promise to bring you frequent and consistent original material that gives you, the reader, a more intimate understanding of the goings on of Cabaret and student theatre at Rutgers.

You promise us to read, comment, and connect.

We’re lonely. We need affection.

  1. Hi Cabaret Friends!

My name is Dominick Nero, I’ve been involved at Cabaret since I got to Rutgers in 2009, and I’m most known around the theatre for my work in production and direction for Rutgers Night Live!

Recently I’ve ventured out from the comedy world, trying my hand at some dramatic film. My official first outing into the short film scene has hit the web and I’d like to share it with you guys, because it was shot exclusively on the Cabaret stage, and incorporates the lessons I’ve learned from my days in the No Diving Improv Troupe (Cabaret’s very own Improv Troupe, RIP).

“Wonderland” is the story of a young Improv comic (Bryton McGrath), who realizes the ever-thinning line between his life, and the lives of his characters in his comedy games.

All actors are either current or alumni Rutgers students, as well as the crew who helped me with the production.

Please help me share this homegrown Cabaret piece of cinema, I care about it very deeply, and it signifies something quite important about the state of theatre in our lives!
