Hello Everyone!

My name is Kayla Votapek and this is my first time writing a blog post for Cabaret. I am so excited and honored that the lovely Abigail Nutter has asked me to write one! For those of you who don’t know me I am Press Secretary for Cabaret Theatre and currently the Stage Manager of Doubt .

For those of you who don’t know anything about Doubt… It is such a wonderful play that you should come see! (For those of you who do know, you should come see it too!) Check out our official Doubt blog post for more information at https://cabarettheatreblog.wordpress.com/2014/02/06/no-way-no-how-no-doubt/

Doubt

(Shout out to the beautiful Emily Johnson who made this wonderful graphic!)

The cast, crew, and pro-staff have been working so hard on this production. We all got together during winter break and worked on the show for days which gave us a wonderful opportunity to bond with one another. Here is a picture of the cast rehearsing:

Doubt Rehearsal

We had many doubts about this production being ready in time for the show thanks to the ton of snow we received. DARN YOU GLOBAL WARMING! But we were able to shovel ourselves through to opening night.

Doubt Tech

I am so honored to be a part of this show and it was such a wonderful opportunity! The cast, crew, and pro-staff have worked very hard and this show is Fantastic! I encourage you all to come see it this weekend. I would like to send a shout out to Emily Petrick for being a wonderful first time director as well as the cast and crew of Doubt. You did a wonderful job for the first weekend and I don’t have any doubts that you will do even better this weekend! I also would like to thank my twin, Allie Kroeper, for helping me with sound; the beautiful and talented Abigail Nutter for allowing me to write this blog as well as helping us find such wonderful costumes for Doubt; the hard working Elias Bull for putting so much time into our production and helping us with EVERYTHING. This boy built the set and put up all our lights all by himself with some help from the Cabaret Crew. (Shout out to Kate Thomas, Meg King, Courtney King, and Erik Stratton for helping us paint. Those windows look amazing!)

You do not want to miss this show! Come see it this weekend.

P.S LET IT DOE!

Yeah, I know. That was pretty awesome.

Did you count how many times she said “doubt”?

‘Cause I didn’t.

I’m too lazy for that big of a job.

Anywho, thank you Kayla for that lovely contribution to this blog and thank you Abby for requesting it!!

You heard the girl…come see Doubt!

A-Kroeps out!!
